Frederick Kempson was born in 1895 at Luton in Bedfordshire, son of Alice Mary Ann Kempson, formerly Guess, and her husband Frederick Kempson, a straw hat packer. He appears in both the 1901 and 1911 censuses living with his parents and siblings at addresses in the southern suburbs of Luton.

Frederick has yet to be researched fully after 1911, although he appears to have died in 1955 in Luton, aged 59.
