The 1870 census shows William, age 6, with parents in Marion, Hocking Co., Oh. (p506 , fam #216/219) and continues on the 1880 census, age 16, with parents in Marion. Listed as " farm laborer".(ED 63, p 101D, fam #106/107) On 1900 census, age 35, a farmer in Rush Creek , Fairfield Co., Oh. With him is wife "Malina", age 26, who declares they have been married 7 years and she has born 4 children, all living at this time.(ED 21, p 17, fam #401/401) I n 1910, Fredrick, 46, is still farming in Rush Creek. Malinda, 36, declares they have been married 17 years. She has born 9 children, all alive at this time. We see them all listed.(E D 76, p 12B, fam #267/283) On 1920 census, age 55, "Fred" continues to farm in Rush Creek. Wife Malinda B., 45, is caring for the house full of children. They live on Boyce Road.(ED 30 , p 1A, fam #4/4) They continue in Rush Creek, now on Marietta Rd., on the 1930 census. Fred doesn't report any property and they have no radio. He's 65, and reports he 27 at time of first marriage. He is a truck farmer. Wife Malinda B., 55, declares she 19 at time of first marriage. She is caring for three children.
