"TO FISH OR NOT FISH" by Frank Williams of Amboy Twp. (in "Tug Hill Literary Review" summer 2005) If you keep your nose on the grindstone rough, And you hold it there just long enough-- In time you'll see there's no such thing As brooks that babble and birds that sing. These three will all your world compose-- Just you, the stone, and your darned old nose.
