Frank Peter Bobst was the second child born to Nicholas and Mary Bobst. He was born 18 Dec 1868 in Franklin County, Iowa. .....Frank married May Shaver, it is believed, in Mountain, Iowa on 13 FEB 1892...They had two children.......May died about 1897...He married Ann Balor in 1907 in Canby, MN and they lived here until spring and then took the train to Sturgis, SD. They bought a wagon and traveled to Fairpoint, SD, this took three days with four cows behind the wagon. Here Frank took a government homestead in Meade County, SD. Ann and Frank had three children.Ann died in about 1927 in Sturgis. Frank died 5 NOV 1959 in Beebe Rest Home in Rapid City, SD. He is buried in the Whitewood Cemetery in Whitewood, Meade County, SD.Children:Joseph Bobst died 20 Dec 1912 when about four years old.Alvin Myrl Bobst born 22 DEC 1909 in Mitchell, SD. He married Julia Irene James and they have one child. He died 17 FEB 1973 in Whitewood, SD. His childs name is Beverly Bobst born 1 JUL 1940. She has married three times and is now married to Lyle Howard Smith. She has three children: Jacqueline Ann Schmeltz, Geanie Lynn Schmeltz, and Noel Vincent Mundy.The third child of Frank and Ann was Alta Bobst born 22 DEC 1909 and was married to Chelsey Hilton. Alta died 2 DEC 1959.
