    Francis Wilson, s/o John Wilson and Joanna Carter, b. abt 1690 "probably in that part of Billerica, MA which in 1729 was set-off as the new town of Bedford", d. Bedford before his probate 16 Apr 1765, had a wife Patience "who apparently died before him".

    16 Apr 1765: Bond of Sarah Hartwell Widow of Bedford as administratrix of Francis Wilson late of Bedford Deceased Intestate.
    21 May 1765: Inventory of Mr Francis Willson Late of Bedford Dec'd: not totaled, by W'm Reed, Joseph Heartwell, Hugh Maxwell.
    22 Jul 1766: Warrant to set off to Patience the deceased's widow her dower. [No return found.]
    [Undated, but perhaps July or Aug 1766 from context]: "Petition of the Heirs of Francis Willson Late of Bedford Dec'd ... that our Late Father Dec'd about sixteen months and our mother is still Living but without any Other Dowry as yet established to hir than Living at the Expence of your poor Petitioners and by Reason of hir great age being infirm and for severall years Non Compos ... administrator Last Sumer mowed the grass and caried all the Hay off the place ... she has taken all the Income of the mills ... all the Moveable Estate ... there is considerable Debts Due from the Estate ... our Mother Being Such a Heavy Charge to us We are forced to apply to your Honour for Help ..." Signed by Joana Willson, Rebekah Willson.
    20 Oct 1767: "by the agreement of the heirs at Law we distribute the whole to Joanah & Rebeckah Wilson. countersigned by Mary Appleton, Hugh Maxwell guardian to James Willson, Betty Fisk. [blank] Oct 1767: Judge's decree, settled on Joanna and Rebecca two children of Francis Wilson, they paying sister Mary, sister Betty, heirs of brother James deceased, and sister Sarah.

    Vol. 20, p. 396 1 May 1714: John Wilson of Billerica for £50 to my son Francis Wilson of Billerica parcel in Billerica on the side of my Mill pond containing about 30 acres. Also in consideration of the love & affection which I bear unto my s'd son Francis Wilson six acres of meadow in Billerica. Rebecca Wilson wife of John Wilson surrenders all right of dower.

    Vol. 51, p. 298 17 Jan 1743 (17th year of George, i.e., bef. Oct 1744, so 1743/44): Francis Willson of Bedford in Consideration of the Love & Affection which I have and do bear unto my son James Willson of said Bedford and in part of his portion in my Estate give parcel of meadow in Bedford about 30 acres reserving use of half the pasturing during my lifetime.

    Vol. 62, p. 401 25 Sep 1764: Francis Wilson of Bedford Weaver for £100 conveys to my two Daughters namely Joanna Wilson & Rebecca Wilson both of Bedford Singlewomen three tracts of land in Bedford totaling about 18 acres: one piece of meadow and upland bounded by the mill brook, a piece call the old orchard, a peice call the Hop-field saving the whole improvement to myslef during my natural life. Acknowledged 16 Oct 1764.
