In the 1880 and 1900 censu ses, son Seth indicated his father and mother were born in VA, the sa me in 1880 for son Francis. Son William H listed them born VA and KY in h is 1880, 1900, and 1910 censuses 2 3 Death: 23 JUL 1856 in Linn County, MO Burial: Mt. Olive Cemetery, Shafter, MO Census: 1820 Franklin County, KY Note: next door to Thomas Norvell Note: He has been listed for some time as Francis Harrison Norvell accordi ng to some researchers. No source for this middle name has been found by t he author. Perhaps the confusion came from the appearance of a Francis Nor vell in the 1820 and 1821 tax books of Franklin Co, KY, followed by a Harr ison Norvell in the 1823, 1824, 1825, and 1828 tax lists of that same coun ty. This gives the appearance Francis and Harrison are the same man. Howev er, Francis Norvell appeared in the 1825-1845 tax books for Spencer C o, KY indicating Francis and Harrison are two separate men, probably broth ers 5 6 1 Probate: BET 09 AUG 1856 AND 01 MAR 1864 Linn County, MO Note: when William B. Jackson was appointed administrator of his estate. W illiam died in 1863 and public administrator Charles A. Fore was nam ed as his replacement.
