From Henthorn family site:

It is thought that Fanny, wife of John, died about 1745. This is because on the conveyance, selling "Providence," the wife testifying was named: Margarett. Nothing is known of this woman, but it is assumed that John, being a widower with 4 children would have remarried.

Frances Low Henthorn and Her Uncle, Col. Thomas Cresap It is interesting to discover that Frances Low Henthorn, wife of John Henthorn, Sr., was a niece of Col. Thomas Cresap (1694-1790). He was a Maryland frontiersman who lived at Oldtown, Maryland for half a century. Thomas Cresap married Hannah Johnson, sister of Frances' mother, Elizabeth Johnson. ...Frances was a cousin of Capt. Michael Cresap, who took a company to Cambridge, Mass. in the summer of 1775. He became ill and died in New York City in October 1775, while trying to return home. Frances was named for her grandmother Johnson. Frances, born about 1716, died soon after the birth of her daughter, Sarah, in 1744.
