COIL SPENCERVILLE -- Foster Leroy Coil, 60, of Rt. 2, died at 2 a.m. Wednesday in Lima Memorial Hospital. Death was attributed to a heart attack. He was born Aug. 19, 1904 in Mercer County, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Coil. He married Gertrude Stetler on Feb. 25, 1926. Mr. Coil was employed by the Farmers Union, Spencerville. Survivors include his wife; five sons, Richard of Venedocia, Edwin of Fort Wayne, Laverne of Delphos, Larry of 530 Ford, Lima, and Rex of Van Wert; three daughters, Mrs. Wilma Gehron of Venedocia, Mrs. Betty Howell of Fort Wayne and Teresa Coil, at home; 23 grandchildren; four brothers, Willis of Rt. 2, Norman of Venedocia, Raymond of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Clifford of Edgerton; and two sisters, Mrs. Vernon Hipsher of Rt. 2 and Iona Shaner of Dayton. He was a member of Spencerville IOOF and Olive Chapel. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Leis Memorial Chapel. Rev. James Rice will officiate, and burial will be in Wright Cemetery. Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home where IOOF memorial services will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday. References
