'Mum came to South Africa with friends, shehad not been well and her folk thought the change and a holidaywould be good for her. She stayed in Durban for a while, thendecided to go into the country and stay in a Hotel at Drummondon the mainline between Durban and Pietermaritzburg. My Dad wasthen stationmaster at Drummond having lost his [first] wife inEngland. ... Who should help her out of the train on arrivalbut Dad: he probably fell in love with Mum then as she was alovely looking girl and I imagine he paid her a lot ofattention. However, she returned to Australia at that time.Visited England in about 1912 - her husband's two sons by hisfirst marriage returned to South Africa with them. VisitedEngland in 1956. Met ROGERS family (1) !Migration: She returned to South Africa and married HerbertWalsh in 1906.
