    Mrs J. C. Williams Death

    The death of Mrs. J.C. Williams occurred Monday evening at her home 804 E Washington, due to Apoplexy as she was sitting at the supper table. She was born in England in 1839, and came to Cleveland, Ohio, with her parents. She was married to John C Williams at Hancock Co., IL in 1857, and in 1879 they came to Centerville, soon locating on a farm north of town. Later they moved back to town. She was the mother of eleven children, seven of whom survive as does her husband. The living are: H.C. Williams of Laurel, Montana; D.F. Williams, of Centerville, E.J. Williams and Mrs. Maggie Burks, of Sheridan, Wyoming; Mrs Naomi Treat of Kansas City; Mrs Sarah Veach, of Atkinson, Kansas; and Mrs. Eliza Jackson of Douglas, township.
    Mrs Williams is also survived by two sisters and two brothers. One sister, Mrs. Eliza Kyle of Omaha, Nebraska, accompanied by a granddaughter, Mrs Isal Evans, of Minneapolis, was here to visit last week. An adopted brother Edward Sterling, lives at Estantcia, New Mexico; her brother Samuel Chatterton, lives at Big Cabin, Oklahoma; and a sister, Mrs. Mary Johnson, aged 82, resides in Denver.
    She was a member of the Methodist church. Her home life was such as to endear her greatly to her family who have lost a good mother who did much for them. The funeral was at the Methodist church Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev J.R. Hanley, and burial was at Dale Cemetery.
