Dea. Ezekiel3 Jewett (Dea. Maximilian), born 5 : 1 mo. 1643; married 26 Feb. 1663-4, Faith, daughter of Dea. Francis Parrat. She died 13 Oct., 1715 (G. S.) He was chosen to succeed his father as deacon of Rowley Church and ordained 24 Oct., 1686. He married (2) 23 Oct. 1716, Elizabeth, widow of John Jewett. He died 2 Sept., 1723 (G. S.). His will, dated 16 Feb., 1722-3, mentions "my now wife," and a marriage contract; son Francis to have "my Bradford land"; son Thomas "my Boxford land"; sons Maximilian, Nathaniel, Stephen; daughters Sarah Bailey and Elizabeth Nelson (Essex Probate 313:723). His widow, Elizabeth, married (4) Ensign Andrew Stickney.

Deacon Ezekiel Jewett, (Maximilian, Edward), b. Rowley 5 Jan 1643 [double dating error for 5 Mar 1642/43, "Ezekiell Jewet, son of Maximilian and Ann borne first noneth the fift day." (Rowley Record.) He was admitted freeman May 15, 1669. He succeeded his father as deacon of the Rowley church; was ordained Oct. 24, 1686, and served until Sept. 2,1723. Was representative to the General Court for Rowley for the years 1690,1692,1697,1699, 1707, 1713, 1718, and 1719. … Ezekiel Jewett died 2 Sep 1723. "His will dated 16 Feb 1722-3, proved 4 Nov 1723. Mentions "my now wife and a marriage contract; son Francis to have my Bradford land; son Thomas my Boxford land; sons Maximilian, Stephen; daughters Sarah Bailey and Elizabeth Nelson (Essex Inst. Hist. Col. Blodgette.) Gravestone in Rowley Cemetery: "HERE LIES THE BODY OF DEACON EZEKIEL JEWETT WHO DIED SEPTEMBER YE 2ND 1723 IN YE 81 YEAR OF HIS AGE".
