Facts and Events
Note from Ron Peeples:
Evelyn (Izzy) and my father were first cousins. Izzy was born 4 APR 1912 in Thistle, Baltimore County, Maryland. Her son, Alfred (Al) Beyer, notified me personally that she died at 3:00 a.m. on 19 OCT 2000 in St. Helena, CA. I actually met her and Al, one time only: we all had dinner together one night in 1999 (I think), including another son of hers (name?) who was nearly deaf. Also, it was Al who provided me the photographs I sent you (among others). When we met, I tried to convince Evelyn to give me an "oral history" on tape, but she declined. Months later, when she was hospitalized, Al told me she regretted that decision, and she was thinking of me, hoping I would understand.
