    [abt Jun 1930] - Mrs. Eunice A. Wymer, 80, a resident of Muscatine County for 26 years, died at her home in Conesville, Iowa at 4:40 Saturday afternoon following an illness of three years. She was the daughter of Daniel and Susannah Arnsberger Lightfoot, descendants of English Quakers, and was born in Wayne County, Ohio in 1850 coming to Cedar County, Iowa in a covered wagon in 1856. The family located ten miles southeast of West Liberty, Iowa. She was married to James Wymer, Jr., in 1867 and he died 35 years ago. Eleven children were born to the couple, of which nine survive. Mrs. Etta Doty and James D. Wymer, both of Drummond, Oklahoma; Neal C. Wymer of Letts, Iowa; Mrs. Frances Meadows, Muscatine, Iowa; Mrs. Martha Alice Baker, Osage, Iowa; Luke Wymer and Mrs. Susan Ida Fisher, Muscatine, George Lester Wymer, Bloomington Township, and Mrs. Elizabeth Stratton, Conesville, Iowa. Twenty-three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive. The body was taken to the Meyers Funeral Home where services were held at 2:30 this afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Vernon L. Shontz, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Muscatine, Iowa. Burial was at Greenwood Cemetery in Muscatine, Iowa.
