Obituary

CORNING: Eston G. Dew, 92, of Corning, Ohio, died at 9:30 pm on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at his home. Born May 4, 1922 in Hatfield, Ohio to the late Cecil and Lelia Post Dew. He was employed by Owens-Corning Fiberglass of Newark for 40 years; member of the Glass Blowers Union and a clock maker; a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to all; always full of joy and never complained.

Survived by four daughters...two sons...numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sisters...brother...In addition to his parents, preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Eickel Dew; sons, David "Teddy" Barrett and Jack Barrett; grandson, Billy Nichols; brothers, Tommy and Ellis Dew and a sister, Donna Mae Schoonover.

Calling hours will be from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio. Funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at the funeral home with Reverend Carolyn Hoskinson officiating.
