Children of Stephen Pierce and Esther Fletcher: 3) Esther, b. Chelmsford 25 Apr 1711, bur. Chellmsford 2 Sep 1803, m. (int.) Chelmsford 15 Dec 1733 John Richardson, s/o John Richardson and Elizabeth Farwell.
- Although several sources, such as Source:Vinton, John Adams. Richardson Memorial, p. 57 [#75], and Source:Pierce, Frederic Beech. Pierce Genealogy, Being the Record of the Posterity of Thomas Pierce, p. 38, indicate this Esther married Nathan Richardson, they give no evidence. Further, Nathan's wife died aged 27 in 1727 which doesn't match this birth date, while the widow of John Richardson's age at death does match this birth date. It is suspected she was named Esther Richardson in some probate document, which would not be sufficient to distinguish between a husband of John or Nathan Richardson. Therefore, the ages at death suggest the above sources were wrong, and that Esther married John.
