Estella M. Batz Estella M. (HAWK) BATZ, 78, Downers Grove, Ill., died at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Hinsdale hospital at Hinsdale, Ill. She had been ill seven months. She was the sister of Edward HAWK of Rochester. Born Feb. 18, 1891, at Culver, she was the daughter of Franklin and Eldora KINSEY HAWK. Her marriage was April 11, 1914, at Culver, to Gano W. BATZ. He died Aug. 20, 1958. She had been a resident of the Fulton and Marshall county areas many years. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mary WINDSTEN and Miss Florence BATZ, both of Downers Grove, Ill.; one son, John BATZ, South Bend; and one half-brother, Arnie HORNER, of San Diego. Final rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the Easterday-Bonine funeral home at Culver. The Rev. Elsworth ROUTSON will officiate. Burial will be in the Sycamore cemetery near Talma. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.
