Land Records of Enoch Innes
Acquisition of Land:
- C-202: Enoch Innis of Richmond County, 960 acres in Prince William County, on bull Run Mt., on Great Branch of Broad Run of Occoquon. 12 July 1731. [Virginia Northern Neck Land Grants, 1694-1742, Vol. 1, Gertrude E. Gray, pg. 111].
- 16 March 1748 - William Patteshall and wife, Elizabeth, to Enoch Innes, granting 300 acres of land "lying on Gravelly Run about 4 miles above the falls of the Rappahannock River..." Deed further states that this land was conveyed by John Grayson to William Patteshall, late of King George County, dec'd, and by whose last will and testament the same was given to him, the above William Patteshall, son of the deceased William. (King Geo. Co. Deeds, 3, p. 262).
Disposition of Land:
- 1759, 12-13 Nov: Enoch INNIS and Catherine his wife of Brunswick Parish, King George Co., VA deed of lease and release to James THRELKELD of same , for 130 pounds current money of VA, 300 acres on the west side Westermost branch gravelly run near to a small path that leads from William HUME'S to the river, line that divides between the land now belonging to heirs of Dr. John EDWARDS dec'd, main tract formerly belonging to Wm. PATTISHALL; land belonging to Col. Charles CARTER; road that leads to Mr. Gerard BANKS's formerly clear'd to Cumberland Mill, being part of a larger tract purchased by Enoch INNIS of William PATTISHALL. Signed E. - 1760, 1-2 Aug: Enoch INNIS and Catherine his wife of Brunswick Parish, King George Co., VA deed of lease and release to Benjamin BERRY of Hanover Parish, King George Co., VA, for 125 pounds current money of VA, 240 acres of land, road dividing this land from land of Janes THRAILKELD, line of Charles CARTER Gent....
