Mrs. Holly Funeral Held

Funeral services for Mrs. Frank Holly, 68, were held Sunday afternoon, Feb. 3, at 1:45 o'clock from the Schultz Funeral home to the Methodist church at 2 o'clock with the Rev. D.R. Corrick officiating.

Burial was in the City cemetery.

Mrs. Holly died Friday, Feb. 1, in her home after having been an invalid for 23 years. She was confined to her bed for three weeks when her condition became grave. Her patience and cheerfulness was an inspiration to all who knew her.

As Emma Caroline, she was born the daughter of Mary and John Scheffert on a farm near Beulah Jan. 15, 1884. She received her education in the rural schools and at McGregor high school.

She was married to Frank Holly March 24, 1902, making their home in Monona. They soon would have celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. She was a member of the Methodist church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Genevieve; two sons, Lester and Walter of Monona; five sisters, Mrs. Hugo Blietz of Monona, Mrs. Augusta Cunningham, Mrs. Clarence Oliver and Mrs. Harold Kamp, all of Dubuque; and Mrs. Esther Suhrada of Los Angeles, Calif.; three grandchildren, Bonnie, Gary and Clifford Holly.

Music at the services was provided by Mrs. Ben Frese Jr. and Mrs. Donald Corrick, who sang "Ivory Palaces" and "An Evening Prayer." Dorothy Hubacher was the organist.

Pallbearers were: Will Steva, LeRoy Hoth, Elba Nagel, John Blietz, Hugo Blietz Jr., Emmet Gunderson and Lawrence Oliver.
