1871 - With husband and 2 sons at Wood Road, South Lopham, Norfolk. Aged 21, born at Eye, Suffolk. One son is recorded as Walter SELF, aged 3, born at Eye, Suffolk. This may actually be William COTTON, son of Emma, who was baptised with two sons from the marriage in 1875.

1879 - According to Doris WOOD nee SELF, Emma left son Alfred Edward SELF and daughter Emma WALLACE on a doorstep.

1881 - Recorded as Emma WELLS, married, with Frederick WELLS (pavior?, married, aged 22, born at Dublin, Ireland) and son James (also recorded as WELLS), lodgers, in the household of Arthur NUNN at 97 Warrick Street, Oldham, Lancashire. Aged 25, born at Eye, Suffolk.

1891 - With husband John FLETCHER and 5 children (recorded as his) at 2 Lees View, Oldham, Lancashire. Aged 46, born at Oldham, Lancashire [sic].

1901 - Widow, with son James WALLACE, at 2 Ellen Street, South Manchester. Aged 50, born at Eye Suffolk. Recorded as Emma FLETCHER.

1902 - Married Archibald Coe, at Chorlton, Manchester

1911 - With Husband Archibald COE, at 81 Ogden Lane, Openshaw, Manchester. Aged 60, born at Eye Suffolk. Recorded as Emmerier COE, later corrected to Emma Maria COE

1930 - Death registered as Emma Maria COE
