Served as Superintendent of Chicago Heights Building Department, and highway commissioner of Bloom Township. A former state trooper, he was a veteran of the Army, serving in WW1. He was past commander of the Steger American Legion and was a charter member of the Chicago Heights Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2825.
