He was living 14 August 1761 when he signed a deed. He was the son of Ephraim and Hannah (Morton) Morton. On 20 Dec 1758 Elkanah Morton, weaver, and Elizabeth Marton his wife, seamster, of Dartmouth sold land in Plymouth to Jeremiah Holmes of Plymouth. On 13 Aug 1761 ack. 14 Aug 1761, Elkanah Morton of Dartmouth, yeoman, sold land in Plymouth to Nathaniel Morton with wife Elizabeth consenting to the sale.
