Named as daughter Elizabeth Hill in the will of Elizabeth Simmonds, dated 28 JAN 1774, widow of James Hill (WB 20:72).

She is taxed for 200 acres of land in Lancaster County from 1782 to 1787. In 1788 the land is taxed to her son Birtton Hill, who apparently turned 21 in this year.

Chancery Suit 1793-008. Elizabeth Hill vs. James Simmonds administrators. Summoned James Simmonds by his guardian James Hammond, Charles Simmonds and William Simmonds by their guardian John Simmonds. Bill filed 8 FEB 1793. Dismissed 7 JAN 1794.

Chancery Suit 1796-011. She was sued by her to her two minor, but married, daughters Milly Dunaway, wife of Chattin Dunaway, and Elizabeth Lawry, wife of John Lawry, with Thomas Pitman their guardian and next friend. This suit was filed in June 1794.

She wrote her will on 6 FEB 1794, which was proved 18 JUL 1796. She names her granddaughter Polly Simmonds Lawry (a small negro girl not under 10 years old to be taken out of the estate of her father and mother now in dispute, "if I get it". Remainder of estate to son Brittain Hill, daughters Milly Dunaway and Frankey Pitman. Witnessed by Brittain Hill, John Lawry and Chattin Dunaway. (WB 28, p. 4)
