Disputed Parentage

There are several Ancestry Member Trees claiming that the parents of this Elizabeth Peery were Thomas Peery (1748/49-1820) and Margaret Dennis (abt. 1753-1820), but marriage records in Botetourt County, Virginia have the date of their marriage as 31 January 1781, which is some eight years AFTER this Elizabeth Peery was born, making it problematic at best and unlikely. Additional research is needed.
