In April 1777 Edward Wing was listed in the military census of Warren, R.I., but on 19 Sept. 1777 Thomas and Lucy Spafford of Northampton, Mass. Sold to Edward Wing of Conway, part of Lot No. 1 in Conway, 15 acres bounded by Chesterfield Gore. (Hampshire Co., Mass. Deeds, Vol. 3, p. 589) The will of Edward Wing of Goshen, dated 7 Oct. 1812, probated 7 Mar. 1815, bequeathed to son Samuel all real estate in Goshen, he to care for Edward and wife Elizabeth for the rest of their lives; one dollar each to five other sons, Edward, Nelson, Elisha, Isaac and Benjamin; to daughter Rebeckah Clark; and to three other daughters, Elizabeth, Sally and Mehitable, they to have rights in the house and household goods after the death of their mother.
