  2. ↑ There appears to be no birth record, and this apparent estimate, unsourced and unexplained, seems likely to be off by 5 years or more, and probably the location is wrong, as the father did not move from Scituate to Concord until 1655. No estimate, nor date of parents marriage, is given in the article on the Hoare family (NEHGR, p. 53:196), but Torrey places the parent's marriage about 1650 and a marriage for Elizabeth in 1675 might suggest a birth 1650-1655, so the basis for this estimate of 1646 in Concord, being unlikely, needs explaining.
