Elizabeth Gilliland was born on 27 October 1807 at Virginia.1 She was the daughter of John Gilliland and Sarah Berry.1 Elizabeth Gilliland married Jeremiah Proctor on 26 August 1826.2 Elizabeth Gilliland married Abram McConnell on 26 June 1846.2 Elizabeth Gilliland died on 22 May 1897 at Huntsville, Madison County, Arkansas, at age 89.1 She was buried at Huntsville Cemetery, Huntsville, Madison County, Arkansas.1
The following obituary appeared in the Nashville Christian Advocate on August 5, 1897:
ELIZABETH McCONNELL daughter of Thomas [Sic] and Sarah Gilliland, born Washington Co., Va., Oct. 27, 1807; died near Huntsville, Ala. [Sic], May 22, 1897; married Jeremiah Proctor, Aug. 26, 1826 (son John F.); this husband died Sept. 27, 1829. She married Abram McConnell, June 26, 1846, 4 children; he died April 12, 1867. She was a first cousin of John B. McFerrin.2
