    COL. ELISHA Hutchinson (son of Edward), retailer 1673, distiller 1674, O. A. 1676. On his fa.’s death he was quickly advanced. By 1678 he had m. 2d Elizabeth, wid. of Mr. John Freak, dau. of Thos. Clarke (54), partn. of Capt. Thos. Lake (3), and so concerned in Kennebec lands; also in Kit. and York. List 188. See Johnson (6). His s. Thomas, b. 30 Jan. 1675, Councilor 1717, was fa. of the Gov. Son Edward, b. 18 June 1678, active in Pejepscot matters

    Febr. 5th Mr. Bridge gives Madam Hutchinson a great Character, as to her Peity and Charity, Exact Walk.
    Febr. 7. 7th day. Madam Hutchinson is buried; Bearers, Cooke, Sewall; Addington, Townsend; Bromfield, Belcher; came to the South-burying place. Col. Hutchinson by reason of his Sore Toe was fain to ride in the Coach. Mr. Edward Hutchinson, and Madam Woolcot were the principal Mourners; Son and Daughter by Freak, and Hutchinson.
