She was the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Polley) Brown. A bond and inventory dated Feb. 18, 1707/9 lists the names and ages of the Brown children - Elizabeth is 21.

An IGI record from the Mormons gives her a death date of 12 Aug 1715, which is before her marriage.

A deed dated Jan. 3, 1725/6 "From Samuel Horsford and Elizabeth, his wife, to our brother Samuel Brown of Colchester... land, etc., which... accrue to me in right of my wife, Elizabeth above said was daughter to John Brown late of Colchester, dec."
