Esther Elizabeth Boyd Drummond-Foster

Esther Elizabeth (Boyd), wife of George Drummond (abt 1790-1824) who drowned near Potts Creek in Monroe Co W Va. Married George in 1812 in Monreo, and had children: James Patrick drummond bn 9-23-1813, Ann Priscella bn abt 1815, Joshua L. bn 6-20-1818, Jeanette Jane bn 9-1819, and George II bn abt 1823, all in Monroe Co then Virginia on land given to them by her father, Rev. soldier patrick Porterfild Boyd (1749-3-1-1835) and mother Anna (McDowell), dau of Arichibald McDowell . Esther then married James B. foster in 1826 in Monroe Co w va, witness: John Drummond, brother of decd husband Goerge Drummond. They lived in monroe county until her son came from Daviess Co Missorui and brought them and their 1/2 siblings to Missouri in 1842 by way of wagon team., James B foster and Esther had additional children in Monroe co w va of : Robert B Foster ,bn 1827 dd 1890 Mo, mary B. Foster bn 9-27-1831 dd 1901 mo, Porterfield Foster bn 8-25-1834 w va, dd 1904 Mo, Caroline foster bn 1838 w va, dd about 1901 Mo. Most of the foster family is buried at Bethel Cem, Gallatin Missouri.
