Claims that she is the daughter of Samuel BARBER are incorrect. She is the daughter of Josiah BARBER, but Wilson fails to mention her among the c hildren of Josiah in her Barber Genealogy even though the book includes t he 1729 will of Josiah BARBER. In his will, Josiah mentions a granddaug hter Elizabeth DRAKE who is living with him "till she comes of age." Sh e was Elizabeth DRAKE, then 22, whose mother, Elizabeth Barber DRAKE, d ied in 1717. Elizabeth was only 12 then so she went to live with her gr andfather Josiah BARBER. She would marry John GILLETTE three years later in 1632. [1]
