resided at Union & Mansfield, CT, & Clarendon, VT. Soldier in French War. According to James D.Butler's "Rutlandia" he moved his family to Clarendon, VT ca.1769 and died soon after from fatigue driving his oxen over the mountain, but Lot Keeler,jr. states he died during the Rev. and was 1st buried in Clarendon, but his body was reburied in Rutland on a Sunday. Probably buried w. wife in N.Main St. Cem. - Swan, D.P. & M.C. "Early Fam.of Rutland VT, p.414. Called Lieut.Wms. of 5th Regt.
