    Elihu [Minor], born 2 September 1745; son of Elihu, and Keziah Willey; married Mary Dean, a widow with two children: Amos Dean, born in Salisbury, Conn. 1 August 1764, and Lydia Dean, born in Salibury 28 Feb 1767.

    A soldier in The American Revolution, Elihu enlisted 12 May 1775, 1st Co., Col. Joseph Spencer's 2nd Regt. He served at Boston, Mass., Bunker Hill and Arnold's expedition to Quebec. On 4 March 1777, he enlisted for three years; discharged 4 March 1780, Company of Capt. Eliphalet Holmes, 1st Conn. Regt., Col. Josiah Starr; Gen. Huntington's Brigade. He served at Peekskill, Germantown, Valley Forge, Monmouth, White Plains, and Morristown. In this third enlistment, Elihu was a sergeant in Capt. Zechariah Hungerford's Co., Col. Samuel McClennan's Conn. militia on tour to New London and Groton from 8 November 1781, following Arnold's destruction in those towns. He was finally discharged 6 December 1781. His wife, Mary, joined the Hadlyme (Conn.) Congregation Church 6 July 1793, and Elihu was confirmed in St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in East Haddam 18 October 1795.
