"Grandma Rule never had a bath just a wash for years as not many places had bathrooms, we didn't. One day mum told her "Grandma your going to have a bath 'Oh Lilly, oh L:illu it will kill me' So when we we're all down the shops mum put the big tub in the bedroom and filled it with water. She had more water on the stove. She said "Come on No-on will see you" and she had her in the bather and Grandma Rulle kept saying "I'll slip you'll kill me" and all this. Well we never heard the end of it "Oh it was lovely it was beautriful" And mum said don't well anyone that she hasn't had a bath for years I mean she did have sponge baths."

    10. Julia Rowe, aged 8
    11. Martha Rowe, aged 5
    12. Nanney Rowe, aged 1

(Notes as to why I think Miss Samions could be our Eleanor
Note 1 - as far as I can work out the two previous voyages 18 and 19 would have been too early as Eleanor was in the 1861 census with her mother in April in Pinpot Terrace, Phillack, England which meant she didn't leave until after then. So she had to travel between 4th April 1861 and the 9th Jan 1962 which is when she married James Basssett in Sandhurst, Victoria, Australia.
Note 2 - . The party groupings are based on the number on the left hand side of the passenger lists of the original ships log which I have been informed by Marsha indicate the groupings of passengers within the cabins; listing all those within a single cabin under same number. Eleanor would have been a single woman travelling with her intended parent-in-laws, to Australia to get married to thier son
Note 3 - In Eleanor's obituary it said .." She was born in Hayle, Cornwall 82 years ago and came to Australia on the Great Britain 59 years ago... " As she died in 1920 she would have arrived in 1861 )
  27. the administrator of his estate.
  28. as a milliner.
  29. Fined 1 /- plus 2/6 costs for failing to send her children to school.
