Married his cousin Ivy Gwendolyn KEW, both being grandchildren of George (Tom) FARRANT by Mary WYNNE. On the death of his father, Edwin made his home with his Auntie Edith Kew. he served with the Middlesex Regiment in France. At the end of the war he decided to train as a pharmacist. His Auntie Edith help him pay his way until he qualified. He spent all his free time at 45 Windsor Street, Uxbridge and was considered one of the family. He fell in love with Ivy Gwendolyn Kew and they married. He was employed by McCarthy's Ltd who owned a chain of chemist shops in the Romford area. He ran this so well that eventually the firm went public and Eddy became Managing Director. On retirement he bought a house at Wroxham in Norfolk and it was there that he died.-RK
