The Story of Mara Township, p. 78:

Edward Lawrence bought Front Range, Lot 11 in Rama Township in 1855. He a nd his family had emigrated from Tipperary, Ireland around 1840 and had sp ent the intervening years in the Whitby area. In 1967 the Lawrence farm w as designated a Centennial Heritage Farm and Lawrence descendents still li ve on the land.
