West Elementary School, Mt Pleasant, Prov RI through 8thgrade. Finished G J West in January, but could not enter LaSalle which only started classes in September. Therefore attended Commercial High School for six months, then entered LaSalle Academy, Providence for High School

Drafted in 1942 for WWII Initially served as Storekeeper 3rd class/2ndclass Served Nov 42 - June 44 in Recruiting Station Providence. Attended Officer Training School, Hollywood Florida June 44 - Sept 44 Photo of EPC and MDC in FL avail Commissioned LTJG Sept 1944. Assigned Charleston Navy Yard, Quincy Mass as Supply officer. Only time afloat in Navy was when on a barge towed across Boston harbor. Retired as LT USN
