BLOIS, Edward Entered into eternal rest Sunday afternoon, December 14, 2003, Edward Frank Blois, husband of Bessie Mae Pierce Blois. Residence, Hanahan, South Carolina. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Edward F. Blois are invited to attended the funeral service for the former at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Thursday, December 18, 2003 at eleven o clock. Inurnment will follow in Carolina Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the home of Kathryn M. LaCoss, 1243 Springhill Road, Hanahan, SC, Wednesday evening, December 17 from six until eight o clock. Born November 19, 1921 in Brooklyn, NY, Mr. Blois was the son of the late Walter Alfred and Florence Riker Blois. He was a veteran of the US Army, the Coast Guard and was a retired Shop Planner at the Charleston Naval Shipyard. Mr. Blois was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and James Island Yacht Club. Surviving Mr. Blois are his wife of fifty-five years, Bessie Mae Pierce Blois of Hanahan; a daughter and her husband, Suzanne B. Mitchell and Charles D. Mitchell, Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida; a son, Walter F. Blois of Ladson; two sisters; Evelyn B. Pessier of Johns Island and Irene B. Suit of N. Charleston; three grandchildren, Kathryn M. LaCoss and husband Guy L. LaCoss of Hanahan; PFC Robert D. Mitchell of Jacksonville, Florida; and Chelsea M. Blois of Camden. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 1444 Remount Road, N. Charleston, SC 29406.
