Compiler's comments:
1. Edith used her married name in the 1939 Register (the special "census" prepared at the outbreak of World War 2), but her marriage registration is dated 1959.
2. According to government records, Edith, born in Yorkshire, England, arrived in Liverpool from Quebec, Canada in 1951 and returned to New York from Southampton in 1952. This implies that there ought to be records of the original emigration from England to North America prior to 1951 and a return journey from North America after 3 Jun 1952.
