Obit. of Edison H. Ford: Deer Isle, Maine- Edison H. Ford, 85, formerly of Hampton Falls, died Wednesday, March 24, 1999, in Deer Isle. He was born Aug. 16, 1913, in Boston and had resided in Brookline, Mass., and Hampton Falls before retiring in Deer Isle. He attended Northeastern University and was a graduate of New England School of Art and La Cedra Art School, Boston. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the South Pacific and was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans. He is survived by one son, Lawrence E. Ford of Hampton Falls; two daughters, Penny Ford of Hampton Falls and Margaret Davis of Hampden, Maine; and one granddaughter, Julie. Following cremation, memorial services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. in his home on Merchant's Point, Deer Isle, with the Rev. Robert Braun, C.S. officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Stonington Deer Isle Ambulance Corps or to the Ark Animal Shelter of Harrington, Maine. _______________________________________________________________________________________________
