The children of Ebenezer Seaver were parties to a Deed of Partition that was made on 24 April 1755. The Deed was between Joshua Winslow of Boston in the 1st part and Ebenezer Seaver Jr. of Roxbury, Gent, in the 2nd part, Thomas Mayo of Roxbury, Yeoman & Mary His wife on the 3rd part, Joshua Seaver of Roxbury, yeoman in the 4th part, Peter Seaver of Roxbury, cordwainer & Hannah wife in the 5th part, Mary Seaver of Roxbury, spinster in the 6th part, Susanna Seaver of Roxbury, spinster in the 7th part, John Newell of Brookline, yeoman and Sarah, his wife in the 8th part, Ebenezer Richard of Roxbury, tanner & Prudence wife in the 9th part, Hannah Loring of Boston, minor by Nathaniel Loring of Boston merchant her father and guardian in 10th part. The partners are proprietors of the greatest part of the township called Boston #2, otherwise Colrain, Hampshire County. The town has been redivided except the 1st & 2nd divisions which are not part of the deed. Most grants are about 100 acres, thus each is given so much. All sign. The deed Included a map showing the lots and who got what (Hampden County (Massachusetts) Deeds, Volume 1, Page 740, abstracted from FHL Microfilm 0,844,499). Ebenezer Sever died testate, having written a will on 13 September 1755, and proved on 3 September 1773. The will reads [Suffolk County (Massachusetts) Probate Records, Volume 73, page 72]: "I, Ebenr Seaver, of Roxbury, Yeoman, being weak of body but of perfect mind and memory. Unto Margaret, my wife, the improvement of one third part of my real Estate, during her life. I give my wife one half of my In door Moveables to be at her own disposal. I also give my wife one Cow to be kept Winter and Summer for her benefit by my son Joshua, during her life. I likewise give my wife the Southerly End of my Dwelling House, for her, and her two daughters, Mary Seaver and Susanna Seaver, to live in during her life and also wood for their fire ready Cutt and brouyght home to the House fit for Use. "My will is that after the decease of my wife my two daughters Mary and Susanna shall have convenient room in my Dwelling House to live in so long as they remain unmarried. I also give [them] the other half of my In door Moveables not before disposed of. Unto my dau. Hannah Seaver, £13.6.8 lawfull money the one half at my Decease & the other half at the Decease of my Wife to be paid by my son Joshua, this with what I gave her at Marriage and since to be her full share of my estate. Unto my dau. Sarah Newell 13.6.8, lawful money, the one half at my decease and the other half at the Decease of my wife, this with what at marriage and since to be her full share of my estate. Unto my dau.Mary Seaver £40, one half at my decease, the other half at the decease of my wife, to be her full share. Dau. Susanna Seaver £40 [upon same condition]. Son Ebenezer Seaver Junr, his heirs and assigns, one half of a small piece of wood land lying near Thomas Hows which I purchased of John Trescott, and my will is that my son Ebenr shall have the fourth part of lands which falls to me or my heirs after the Decease of Anne Seaver, widow of Jonathan Seaver, late of Roxbury, deceased, this with what I have given him before to be his full share & portion of my estate. Unto my son Joshua Seaver, his Heirs and Assigns, forever, all my Lands in Roxbury, House, barn, orchards, salt Marsh and fresh Meadow, fences and timber, Cart and Wheels and Tools, Horse and Trooping, Furniture, Ploughs, Horse Tacklings, Cattle, &c also the remaining half of the aforesd woodland near Thomas Hows; and my will is that my said son Joshua shall keep a Gentle Horse and Chaise for his Mother to ride in so often as she has occasion during her life. "My two sons Ebenr Seaver Junr, and Joshua Seaver sole executors. "Ebenr Seaver "In presence of us, Robert Spur, John Spur, Wm. Spur." John Spur deposed (Wm. Spur absent, Robert Spur deceased) on 3 Sep 1773. The Inventory of the Estate was appraised on 14 Sep 1773 by Ebenr Cheney, Abijah Waite and Wm Heath. The total was 1,074 pounds, 14 shillings, 7 pence. The real estate included:
