According to 1880 Census of Cono Twp., Iowa County, Iowa, Earl was 5 years old and living at home. In 1885 Iowa state census, Earl is living with his grandparents, George and Catherine, his mother Jane and Elsworth and Joseph Snooks. In 1895, he is 19 and living with Ab and Celia Snook(s) in Omega Twp., O’Brien Co., Iowa. In 1900, Freeman is living with his wife Tillie (Matilda) and her parents in Omega Twp., O’Brien County, Iowa. He was 24 and she was 18. In 1910, he is living with his wife Matilda and four children in Omega Township, O’Brien Co, Iowa. In 1920, he was living in O’Brien County, Iowa, near Everly. According to Lyle Snook, Earl was born out of wedlock to Jane. Earl was raised by George as his child. Also, Lyle said he lived in Milford, Iowa and his daughter was Mrs. Jack Byers.
