Personal History

Ken thinks that she was born in 1933 and could not have been who mother visited (as a newborn with her aunt) in the summer of 1931 before she, Ivyl, went into a 3-year nursing degree program in Dubuque in 1932. According to mother, this was the occasion for her first meeting of father. Dorothy's marriage license confirms, as does her husband, Keith Ostrander, that Dorothy was born in 1933. Keith was born on the same day and month as Dorothy, but a year earlier in 1932.
