In Memory of Doris Dell Allumbaugh
Doris D. (Wells-Broos) Allumbaugh beloved mother, wife, and grandmother, was born October 18, 1924 to Henry and Dora Wells in Bingham Canyon, Utah. She was the youngest child of ten children and grew up in Utah until moving to Sutter Creek California during her high school years. After high school she moved to Torrance California where she worked as a nurse at Harbor General Hospital until marrying in 1947.
She was a resident of Hemet until she moved to Cumming, Georgia where she passed away on May 25, 2012 at her home. She is survived by her son, Richard Owen Broos of Hemet, CA., daughter, Donna Broos Grayson of Cumming, GA., grandson, Richard W. Broos of Hemet, CA., son-in-law, Paul Grayson and step-son, Byron E. Allumbaugh of New Port Beach, CA. Her late husband, Norman Allumbaugh, and daughter-in-law, Donna Comber Broos, preceded her in death.
She was an amazing mother and grandmother who lived for her family. She held leadership roles with the PTA, Girl and Boy Scouts, and was President of the Redondo Beach California Elks Women’s Group. She lived a full and wonderful life, and with her husband Norm, found great happiness and love.
We hold your hand and walk with you, and although we cannot see you, you will forever be remembered and greatly loved. We are so thankful to have had you in our lives and hearts.
