!BIRTH: Cler. Co., Ohio birth cert. (v 1896, p 80)--"Dion Hicks b. Fra twp., Cler., OH; male; parents: H. H. Hicks, Maggie Wells." The date agrees with that given by the Hicks Family Bible.

!MARRIAGE: Lucy (Hicks) Meeker (his sister) gave the date and wife's name in the genealogy summary she compiled for and distributed to the extended Hicks family (copy in pos, of Norman Zezula). The Hicks Bible extracts that she made name his wife (Madelyn Vaske), but gives no mar. date or place. (family tradition states that the marriage took place in Ham., or Cler. Co., OH; hovever, no record has been found).

!DEATH: Ohio death cert.--"Dion Williams Hicks, d. 11 Jan 1960 in Cin., Ham., OH; b. 7 Nov 1898; parents: Harvey Henry Hicks, Marguerite Wells [sic]; married, male, white; res. 203 W. 69th St., Cin. 16, OH; a presser for a tailor shop; soc. sec. #290-24-0940; informant was Madelyn Hicks. [ie, his wife]." His wife may still be living at this time (Mar 1989)
