Deliverance Cleveland lived in that part of North Kingstown which in 1742 became Exeter. He was a tailor. He was a large owner of land and trader. Many of his deeds (one dated 1765) appear on Exeter and West Greenwich records, some of them of large amounts. He was once located at Nine Partners near Poughkeepsie, New York. His widow, Hannah and 5 children lived in West Greenwich, 1774, to Salem, New York, where she is buried on the homestead farm of son Job Williams.
