Obituary found posted at Find-a-Grave: "David Jackson Dead About midnight Tuesday night David Jackson, an old gentleman residing in the northeast part of town, passed away. He had been in failing health for some time and confined to his bed for the past few weeks. Deceased was about 75 or 80 years of age and had been a resident here for several years, operating a wood yard most of the time but recently disposed of his property. He came here from near Forrest, Whitley county, and while no arrangements have been made for the funeral at this writing it is expected that his remains will be taken to that place for burial his wife having been buried there some months ago. Deceased was a hard working man, of a very religious turn of mind and very eccentric in many ways."
