R.I., 29 Jan. 1687/8, died at Dartmouth, Mass., (before 15) Jan. 1744/5; married at Dartmouth, 1 May 1718, Mary Sherman, born at Dartmouth 21 May 1694, survived her husband, daughter of William³ Sherman of Dartmouth (Peleg,² Philip¹). The will of Daniel Shepard of Dartmouth, dated 25 June 1744, proved 15 Jan. 1744/5, named his wife Mary (executrix); brother-in-law Peleg Shearman; two sons Daniel and Benjamin Shepard; and seven daughters, Mary wife of William Hart, Abigail wife of Peleg Gifford, and Martha, Virtue, Elizabeth, Hannah, and Ruth Shepard.
