there was a Joseph Severns who came about 1806 from Virginia to Coshcoton Co., Ohio.
A Mr Severns died in 1857 his son with his name as well died in Newcastle in 1850.
Samuel Severns was his oldest son of Joseph
possibly a descendeant of the Severns from Pennsylvania (Scotch-Irish) who had Lord Fairfax land in Virginia.
