Daniel, s/o William and Mary (Kettle) Raymond, b. Beverly, m. 11 Mar 1716 Abigail, d/o Freeborn Balch. He and his eldest son (name unknown) died in the Expedition against Canada, 1745.
[Note: Both the Balch Genealogy and this source say the eldest son, name unknown, died with the father Daniel. It is unknown what prompts this remark as neither source has a complete list of the children of Daniel. However, from our more complete records, the son Daniel was the oldest at the time, and as this source itself says on p. 131, he lived long past 1745. Also, note the inventory of the father Daniel's estate, cited below, which includes the wearing apparel of his son William. So, it seems probable that it was the son William that died in 1745, who was only the second oldest son.]
