page 18 "DANIEL HARMON (John, Samuel, John). b. Apr. 13, 1747, in Scarboro, m. int. Mar. 19, 1768, Sarah York. They were admitted to the Congregational Church in Standish, Feb. 14, 1775, formerly Pearsontown. He enlisted in 1775 in the Revolution, and was a corporal in Capt. Samuel Whittemore's Co. of Gorham in Col. Reuben Fogg's Regt. of Mass. Militia. He served at Peekskill, N. Y. Sarah was a dau. of Samuel and Joanna (Skillings) York, and was b. in 1742 and d. Oct. 28, 1832. Before 1794 he moved to Durham, ME., and d. there Oct.28 1832.". - ↑ Harmon, Artemas C.
